Cerberus GL Successfully Demonstrated to US Army in AEWE 2020 Trials
Skyborne Technologies successfully demonstrated Cerberus GL to the US Army on Tuesday, December 10th as part of the Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiment (AEWE2020). Five 40mm grenade rounds were live-fired in front of a crowd of around 30, including two aerial flashbang, a smoke marker round, and two chalk marker rounds.
In attendance were members of the US Army's experimental force-on-force platoon, capability managers and developers and AEWE support staff. Feedback was overall incredibly positive and constructive. Skyborne has taken many recommendations on board for future development.
After the demonstration, members of the US Army participated in hands-on and Q&A regarding the drone and the training simulator.
Earlier in the trial week, Skyborne spent significant time at the firing range, qualifying the Cerberus platform with the firing of over 40 grenade rounds.
"The bespoke control systems' response to recoil is quite outstanding," said CEO Dr Michael Creagh.
"The enthusiasm of the US Army and other defence forces we have spoken to is a testament to the Cerberus solution, particularly from a counter-defilade and cost-per-shot standpoint."
